We were informed that the council would not be providing a like for like service at Holmlea, as they cannot do so under current guidelines. So Holmelea at present could be just a 2 1/2 hrs morning or afternoon facility. Mary from CnP will be sending out minutes with all the details which will be posted here. I believe that under the Gaelic Act we can attempt to influence the Glasgow City Council at the consultation stage hopefully starting in January but maybe not. If we get involved with the consultation then then we may have a chance of getting what we want in the longer term. There was a lot discussed and the minutes should make this clearer.
This site has been set up to facilitate communication between the parents and other interested parties in relation to the forthcoming closure of the gaelic provision at the Little Scholars nursery in Langside College, Glasgow.
I will circulate the e-mail address of the blog via the CnP yahoo group and directly to the list of parent's e-mails held by the Little Scholars parent's commitee. If you want ot post an item send it as an e-mail to that address. The subject and message will be posted and attributed to myself, so unless, you put your name in the e-mail message, it will remain effectively annonymous.
If you haven't receievd the e-mail address, drop me an e-mail directly (chris.1708@hotmail.co.uk) and I'll send you the e-mail address of the blog.
Also feel free to comment on any of the posts, this can be done anonymously or you can leave your details.
Users can subscribe to the site through RSS feeds. This is equivalent of being sent an e-mail when a post is added to the site.
